Common questions
What speed can it run at?
Up to 150 m/min, depending on resolution, code size and substrate. We confirm the achievable speed for your code.
Can it print QR codes?
Yes. 600 DPI output supports dense 2D codes within the 12.7 mm print height.
Which inks are available?
Water-based and solvent cartridges in several colours, including invisible ink. Ink choice depends on the substrate.
Can it connect to a PLC?
The printer provides USB, RS-232 and Wi-Fi interfaces. We confirm the protocol against your line controller.
Can it print on both sides?
Two print heads can be mounted for two-sided coding. Confirm the layout and triggering with us.

Sharp codes on a moving conveyor
Integration
The printer provides USB, RS-232 and Wi-Fi interfaces. Two print heads can be mounted for two-sided coding. Send us the conveyor speed, product spacing and controller details so we can confirm the trigger, mounting and interface.
Inks and maintenance
Water-based and solvent cartridges are available in several colours, including invisible ink. Because the print head is part of the cartridge, replacing a cartridge refreshes the nozzle and removes the need for a solvent flushing routine.
Installing an online TIJ printer on a conveyor
An online TIJ printer mounts over an existing conveyor and prints as the product passes, so the line does not need a separate station. The installation is simple compared with CIJ: a bracket, a trigger sensor and a power and data connection. The work is in the details — head height, product gap and a stable surface — because a cartridge prints best at a fixed distance from the product.
What to check before mounting
Confirm that the product sits flat under the head and does not rock as it moves. Set the trigger so the code starts at the same point on every carton, and leave enough gap between products for the print to finish. If the conveyor speed varies, use an encoder so the print stretches and shrinks with the line rather than printing at a fixed rate.
For low-volume work or products that cannot go on a conveyor, the handheld model uses the same cartridge. If the code has to be checked automatically, add inspection and rejection. Conveyor background: conveyor system.
